Dr. Marc-André Göricke

Dr. Marc-André Göricke works as a Senior Consultant with a specialization on manager selection at alpha portfolio advisors. Since 2017, he has been working on the analysis and successful selection of active investment strategies in the asset classes equities, bonds and absolute return / hedge funds for institutional mandates and fund of funds. Previously, he worked as a research assistant at the chair of Prof. Dr. Alexander Kempf at the University of Cologne and a member of the Centre for Financial Research Cologne (CFR). There he was active in research and teaching in the field of finance with a special focus on asset management. He received his doctorate (summa cum laude) on the topic of human capital returns in asset management. Parts of his research results have been published in the academically renowned journal "The Review of Financial Studies". In addition, Dr. Göricke continues to regularly publish papers on relevant issues in asset management.

He studied business administration at the University of Mainz and as a DAAD scholarship holder at the University of New South Wales, Sydney. While being a student, he gained practical experience in derivatives trading at Commerzbank, as a student business consultant and in sales of investment products at Baader Bank (direcct AG).
